Dear Clients,

Although there are still no new formal decisions from the Court, last week saw new filings from the defendant, as well as official responses from the prosecution. These submissions relate to the defendant’s previous motions, including requests to reconsider previously denied motions and proposals concerning documents that had previously been under court protection.

The prosecution has made it clear in its responses that there is no legal basis for reopening these requests, and that the existing record is complete and sufficient for the next steps in the proceedings. This ensures that the Court has a clear understanding of which issues have already been resolved and which filings the defendant may or may not continue to pursue.

For clients who are not familiar with such procedures, it is important to understand that while the Court has not made new rulings at this stage, all submissions and responses are recorded. This means that any timely information or documentation provided by the defendant or prosecution may influence the further course of the proceedings and any upcoming hearings.
