 Dear Clients,

One of the questions we are frequently asked is whether an investigation depends primarily on the statements provided by victims. While victim statements are an important part of the investigative process, they represent only one element of the overall evidence considered by the competent authorities.

In cases involving online investment fraud, investigators typically examine a wide range of information in addition to victim statements. Depending on the circumstances of the case, this may include financial records, banking documentation, electronic communications, transaction data, technical information, and other evidence obtained from domestic or foreign institutions.

The purpose of reviewing multiple sources of information is to verify the facts and establish a complete understanding of how the relevant events occurred. Information provided by one victim may be compared with records obtained from financial institutions, communication providers, or other affected individuals in order to identify connections and confirm particular circumstances.

For this reason, the fact that a victim has already provided a statement does not necessarily mean that the investigative process has been completed. Additional evidence may continue to be collected, reviewed, and compared throughout the course of the investigation as new information becomes available.

In complex investigations involving numerous victims, the process of verifying evidence often requires careful analysis of information obtained from many different sources. This approach helps the competent authorities establish the relevant facts as accurately as possible before making further procedural decisions.

As always, we encourage victims to preserve all documentation relating to their interactions with the platform, as information that may appear insignificant today could become relevant when considered together with other evidence.

We will continue to monitor developments and keep you informed of any significant updates.

Kind regards,
