HotNews No 113: Optimus VIP Collapses – Now Rebranded as DigitalCredit
Another pyramid scheme has fallen—Optimus VIP is no more, but it has quickly resurfaced under a new name: DigitalCredit.
While the official Optimus VIP website is still online, its social media accounts were abandoned around March 10th. Instead of admitting the scheme’s collapse, its organizers are now presenting DigitalCredit as a supposed “merger” with a major company.
DigitalCredit operates under the domain “adigitalcredit.com,” privately registered in Brazil in December 2024. However, claims that it is a global corporation are baseless—DigitalCredit is nothing more than a fresh attempt to extract more money from defrauded investors.
Optimus VIP relied on the usual crypto scam tactics, while DigitalCredit introduces a new marketing gimmick—trading via ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings) and “sustainable” assets like plastic credits, carbon credits, and agricultural products. In reality, this model exists only in their promotional materials.
Like its predecessor, DigitalCredit promises daily returns ranging from 0.65% to 1%, with investments reaching up to 100,000 USDT. The introduction of installment-based investments appears to be a way to attract new investors without immediately demanding large sums of money upfront.
The MLM bonus structure remains unchanged from Optimus VIP:
- 10% referral commission,
- 8% binary commission (capped at the invested amount per day),
- rank achievement bonuses reaching up to $1,000,000,
- 10% withdrawal fee and an additional 25% quarterly earnings fee.
Interestingly, investors from Kazakhstan and the U.S. were among the hardest hit by Optimus VIP’s collapse, suggesting that the scheme primarily targeted those regions. Given the sudden drop in activity, it is likely that key figures behind this scam, including Antonio Salas, have either disappeared with the money or sold investor data to recovery scammers.
As with all similar frauds, this reboot will likely be short-lived—DigitalCredit is nothing more than another attempt to cover the tracks of the previous scam and siphon more funds from unsuspecting investors.
