Dear Clients,

We would like to inform you about the latest developments in the BitClub Network case.

A recent court order addressed the motions filed by defendant Jobadiah Sinclair Weeks to terminate or modify his conditions of release. The court found the submitted motions to be internally inconsistent and unclear, and therefore ordered the defendant to file a single, consolidated motion limited to ten pages, clearly outlining each requested modification and the reasons for it in bullet-point format. The deadline for submitting this motion is July 31, 2025. The Prosecutor’s Office will have until August 14, 2025, to respond using the same format.

We remind you that the Prosecutor’s Office previously responded to the court rejecting the defendant’s claims that the release conditions had been excessively long and that he had not been provided with information about victims and losses. The Prosecutor emphasized that the release conditions are solely intended to ensure the defendant’s appearance in court and community safety, regardless of the evidence related to damages. The court practice does not grant exceptions to release conditions for personal reasons, including childbirth.

Apart from this significant development, there are no other major updates in the case. The proceedings remain at the stage of thorough review of submitted documentation and preparation of next steps.

Our team continues to closely monitor all developments and will keep you regularly informed of any important changes.

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to contact us.

Kind regards,
Attorney Zoran Miljaković
