Jubilee Ace/ Jenco/ GTR / 3Key – Lyra Newsletter No. 198
Dear Clients,
Following the filing of criminal complaints in several countries regarding the Jubilee Group case, we have received many questions about why the investigation appears to be taking so long and why there are no visible developments.
It is important to understand that international investigations, especially those involving financial and cryptocurrency fraud, are conducted under strict confidentiality.
When criminal proceedings are coordinated across multiple jurisdictions, the exchange of information between prosecutors, financial intelligence units, and police authorities is carried out through official and secure channels. This process requires time and discretion to ensure that the suspects are not alerted, that evidence is preserved, and that financial assets can be traced and frozen without interference.
Unlike domestic investigations, international cooperation involves additional steps — translation of documents, verification of evidence in different legal systems, and formal requests through mechanisms such as Europol, Interpol, or mutual legal assistance treaties. These procedures are complex but essential for the admissibility of evidence and for securing a unified prosecutorial approach.
The fact that the investigation is not public does not mean that there is no activity. On the contrary, it often indicates that sensitive actions are being taken to collect evidence, identify participants, and track assets.
Premature disclosure could compromise these efforts and enable the suspects to conceal or move funds.
For this reason, confidentiality is not a sign of inactivity, but a necessary condition for success in cases of this scale. Each participating country follows its procedural path, and coordination among them takes place continuously and methodically.
We remain in contact with the relevant authorities and will continue to inform you as soon as official updates can be shared.
Your patience and trust are greatly appreciated as the process advances through this crucial stage.
Kind regards,
Attorney Zoran Miljaković
