Dear clients,

In the case concerning BitClub Network, several new procedural developments have been recorded, relating to the next phases of the proceedings and the further course of the case.

A Frye hearing has been scheduled in relation to the defendant Matthew Brent Goettsche, to take place on April 16, 2026. This type of hearing is significant in U.S. law, as it addresses the admissibility of certain evidence or methodologies that may be used in the proceedings, which can directly impact the course of the case.

In addition, sentencing hearings for certain defendants have been rescheduled. The sentencing of Silviu Catalin Balaci has been moved to October 7, 2026, while the sentencing of Jobadiah Sinclair Weeks is now scheduled for June 24, 2026.

These changes indicate that the proceedings are actively ongoing, but also that certain phases—particularly those related to final decisions—may be subject to adjustments depending on procedural issues that arise in the meantime.

At the same time, submissions made by the defendant Jobadiah Sinclair Weeks continue to challenge certain aspects of the proceedings, particularly regarding the evidentiary basis and the circumstances under which the plea was entered . Such arguments may be relevant in the sentencing phase, as they relate to factors the Court may consider when determining the final outcome.

Taking the above into account, it can be concluded that the case is currently in a stage where both procedural and substantive issues are being addressed simultaneously, which may affect the timing and direction of final decisions.

You will be duly informed of any further relevant developments.

Kind regards,
Attorney Zoran Miljaković
