Dear Clients,

An important development in the BitClub Network case took place at the hearing held on April 16, 2026, and it directly affects the further course of the proceedings against one of the key defendants, Matthew Brent Goettsche.

The defendant has rejected the proposed plea agreement and decided to proceed to trial.

As a result, the Court has scheduled the trial to begin on October 6, 2026.

This decision is significant because it changes the dynamics of the case. When a plea agreement is accepted, proceedings are usually concluded more quickly. In this situation, rejecting the plea means that all facts will now be examined through a full trial process, with evidence presented before the Court.

In practical terms, this means a longer process, but also a more detailed examination of all aspects of the case.

At the same hearing, a Frye hearing was also conducted, addressing the admissibility of certain evidence and methodologies that may be used during the trial, which can influence how the case will proceed.

In the coming period, the focus will shift to trial preparation and the presentation of evidence before the Court.

You will be informed in a timely manner of any further relevant developments.

Kind regards,
Attorney Zoran Miljaković
