Dear Clients,

We wish to inform you of a significant development in the ongoing proceedings: the defendant, Jobadiah Weeks, filed a Supplemental Submission in Support of Motion to Withdraw Plea and Request for Expedited Ruling on August 11, 2025.

This submission raises a constitutional issue directly affecting the validity of the plea. While there are currently no formal decisions to report, this filing represents an important step in the process and is being carefully reviewed by the relevant authorities.

Furhter, The DOJ has filed to revoke Joby Weeks’ bail, citing multiple violations of his release conditions. Weeks was granted release on home incarceration with strict location monitoring and a ban on internet-connected devices, following a May 20, 2025 hearing that allowed him to relocate to Florida to reside with his wife and child.

Just two days after that hearing, Weeks tested positive for cocaine, a direct violation of his conditions. Additional violations include leaving his apartment on several occasions (observed by Pretrial Services and confirmed through location monitoring), and using restricted facilities within his apartment complex. The DOJ argues these were not misunderstandings but intentional breaches, as Weeks has openly disagreed with the Court’s conditions.

The DOJ further alleges that Weeks’ wife and designated third-party custodian, Dasha Weeks, has been complicit by lying to Pretrial Services regarding his whereabouts. The Court had previously warned her that Weeks’ continued release was contingent on trustworthy custodianship, making her misconduct particularly significant.

On these grounds, the DOJ contends that Weeks has shown he cannot comply with any set of release conditions and urges the Court to revoke bail and remand him into custody pending sentencing. A ruling on his latest request to relax conditions is still pending
