Dear Clients,
As you are already aware, criminals often try to hide, spend, or transfer illicit gains. Freezing assets ensures those funds or properties remain available while investigations and prosecutions are ongoing.
What does asset freezing mean?
Freezing means that the funds connected to the scam are currently unavailable for use, transfer, or withdrawal. It is a court-ordered measure that prevents the money from being hidden or moved, preserving the assets for possible restitution to the victims. In other words, the illegally obtained funds cannot be distributed while the legal proceedings are ongoing.
Why is it important to report your loss?
Although freezing the assets is a significant development, only those who have timely submitted formal claims with the required documentation and power of attorney are entitled to compensation. Reporting your loss allows you to be formally included in the legal process, increasing your chances to recover part of the funds once the court decides on their distribution.
Only legally registered victims will be able to claim compensation, even if additional victims are identified during the investigation.
What happens next?
We urge anyone who has not yet reported their loss to do so as soon as possible. It is necessary to submit all relevant documentation and power of attorney through the DefendMe platform. Active participation in this process is key to protecting your rights and enabling possible restitution.
Our legal team continues to monitor the case across all relevant jurisdictions and will keep you regularly informed of further developments and compensation opportunities.
Thank you for your trust and cooperation.
Kind Regards,
Zoran Miljakovic
