Jubilee Ace/ Jenco/ GTR / 3Key – Lyra Newsletter No. 185
Dear Clients,
While we await new information regarding the Jubilee Group proceedings, this week we would like to share an insight into the psychological techniques scammers use — an educational perspective to help understand how these schemes operate.
Illusion of control and success
Scammers often give victims the impression that they are in control of their investments — through dashboard apps, fake profit reports, and planned payouts. Victims believe they are making decisions, while every step actually serves the scammers’ goals.
Personalized targeting
Each communication is tailored — addressing the victim by name, using collected personal information, and adjusting pressure according to reactions. This demonstrates how trained scammers are at identifying and exploiting psychological vulnerabilities.
Emotional and social pressure
A combination of praise, fear, and urgency creates a sense of obligation, pushing victims to make decisions they normally would not. This is not a sign of weakness — it is sophisticated manipulation.
Understanding these mechanisms helps victims recognize similar fraud attempts in the future and reduces feelings of guilt or shame.
Kind regards,
Attorney Zoran Miljaković
