• Your status is recorded – even though the complaint has not yet been filed, it is important to be aware that you are a potential participant in the proceedings.
• Rights in future proceedings – once the criminal complaint is formally submitted, you will be able to protect your rights, and having your information ready now will help ensure a faster response when the process begins.
• Preparation is key – while we have previously advised on collecting documentation, it is important to keep all relevant data and evidence organized and up-to-date, as this will accelerate the process once the complaint is submitted.
