Dear Clients,

One of the questions frequently raised after discovering an online investment scam is why some users were initially able to withdraw small amounts of money from the platform, only to encounter numerous obstacles when attempting to withdraw larger sums later on.

In many online investment and cryptocurrency fraud schemes, these initial withdrawals are often part of the scam itself.

Certain platforms intentionally allow small withdrawals in order to create the impression that the system is legitimate and that the displayed profits are real. After receiving such a payment, many users gain additional confidence in the platform and decide to invest larger amounts of money.

At a certain point, however, the situation changes. When a user attempts to withdraw a larger amount, various restrictions begin to appear, including additional verification requirements, alleged taxes, processing fees, account validation requests, or other conditions that were never previously mentioned.

It is important to understand that the fact that someone was once able to withdraw a small portion of funds does not necessarily mean that the platform was operating legitimately. On the contrary, in many cases such payments are deliberately used to build trust and encourage further deposits.

For this reason, we recommend that victims preserve all documentation relating to any previous withdrawals, including bank statements, transaction confirmations, screenshots of the platform, and communications with individuals who contacted them. Such information may later prove useful in understanding how the platform operated and under what circumstances deposits were made.

We will continue to keep you informed of any significant developments.

Kind regards,

Attorney Zoran Miljaković
