U predmetima koji se odnose na internet investicione prevare, jedan od najznačajnijih izvora informacija često predstavlja precizna vremenska linija događaja koja prikazuje kako je komunikacija sa platformom započela, na koji način se razvijala i koje su radnje preduzimane tokom celog perioda ulaganja.

U praksi se često dešava da oštećeni ne smatraju značajnim pojedine događaje koji su se dogodili na početku komunikacije, posebno ukoliko je od tada protekao duži vremenski period. Međutim, upravo redosled određenih događaja može imati značaj prilikom sagledavanja celokupnog načina postupanja organizatora određene platforme.

Korisno je sačuvati podatke o tome kada je ostvaren prvi kontakt, putem koje internet stranice ili reklame je korisnik došao do platforme, kada su izvršene prve uplate, kada su vršene dodatne uplate, kao i kada su nastali prvi problemi sa isplatom sredstava ili komunikacijom sa predstavnicima platforme.

Pored finansijskih transakcija, značaj mogu imati i podaci o komunikaciji. Vreme slanja elektronskih poruka, poruka putem aplikacija za komunikaciju, kao i datumi telefonskih razgovora mogu pomoći u utvrđivanju načina na koji je komunikacija vođena i kako su korisnici podsticani da donose određene odluke.

U predmetima sa većim brojem oštećenih često se pokazuje da se određeni događaji ponavljaju po sličnom obrascu. Na primer, nakon početne uplate može uslediti intenzivnija komunikacija sa navodnim brokerom, zatim predlozi za dodatna ulaganja, a potom različita objašnjenja zbog kojih isplata sredstava nije moguća bez novih uplata ili dodatnih procedura.

Zbog toga može biti korisno da oštećeni sačuvaju što više informacija koje omogućavaju rekonstrukciju hronologije događaja. Čak i podaci koji na prvi pogled deluju beznačajno mogu kasnije pomoći u potpunijem sagledavanju okolnosti konkretnog slučaja.

In practice, victims do not always consider certain events from the early stages of communication to be important, particularly when a significant amount of time has passed. However, the sequence of events can be highly relevant when assessing the overall manner in which a platform operated.

It may be useful to retain information regarding when the first contact was established, through which website, advertisement, or social media content the platform was discovered, when the initial payments were made, when additional funds were requested or transferred, and when the first difficulties regarding withdrawals or communication arose.

In addition to financial transactions, records of communication may also be significant. The dates and times of emails, messages exchanged through communication applications, and telephone conversations can help establish how communication was conducted and how victims were encouraged to make particular decisions.

In matters involving a larger number of victims, investigators often observe that certain events occur in a similar sequence. For example, an initial investment may be followed by frequent communication with a purported broker, recommendations to invest additional funds, and later various explanations as to why withdrawals cannot be processed without further payments, verifications, or other requirements.

For this reason, it may be beneficial for victims to preserve as much information as possible that can help reconstruct the chronology of events. Even details that appear insignificant at first may later contribute to a more complete understanding of the circumstances surrounding a particular case.
