Dear Clients,

A new procedural step has been recorded in the proceedings related to BitClub Network, concerning one of the defendants, Jobadiah Sinclair Weeks.

The Court has made available the transcript of the hearing at which his request to withdraw his previously entered guilty plea was considered. Although the release of the transcript does not in itself represent a new decision, it provides a clearer view of the arguments raised by the defense and the way the Court examined those arguments.

This is significant because attempts to withdraw guilty pleas in cases of this nature often form an important part of the defense strategy. Through such motions, defendants attempt to challenge previously accepted responsibility, alter their procedural position, or influence the further course of the proceedings.

As we previously informed you, the Court has already denied that request, which means that the defendant’s procedural position remains unchanged and the proceedings continue toward sentencing.

At the same time, the proceedings against Matthew Brent Goettsche are entering a new phase, considering that he rejected the proposed plea agreement and that the trial has been scheduled for October 6, 2026.

This means that the case is now moving in two important directions — one defendant is moving toward sentencing after an unsuccessful attempt to withdraw his guilty plea, while the other is moving into the trial phase.

Both procedural tracks remain important for the overall development of the case, and we will continue to monitor all further steps.

You will be informed in a timely manner of any further relevant developments.

Kind regards,
Attorney Zoran Miljaković
