Dear Clients,

We want to inform you that there were no notable developments to report concerning this case in the previous week. Nonetheless, we’re vigilantly monitoring all developments and updates.

It is interesting to note that Joby Weeks, one of the defendants in the case, was released on a 2$ million bond cosigned by his parents as a guarantee. He is under home incarceration with constant GPS monitoring. Amongst the many restrictions that Mr. Weeks has, he is not allowed access to a computer or other “connected devices” and is not allowed to promote or be engaged in any MLM Crypto schemes.

Weeks is one of the defendants who pleaded guilty. When a defendant pleads guilty, it means they admit to committing the crime they are accused of. By pleading guilty, the defendant essentially confesses to the charges brought against them. One of the main reasons why a defendant would plead guilty is the possibility of a reduced sentence through the negotiated plea bargain with the prosecution. Furthermore, pleading guilty is likely to be a part of a cooperation agreement with the prosecutor, where the defendant agrees to provide information against others in exchange for leniency.

Weeks sentencing is scheduled on 19th September 2024.
