Grand Pacific Trade Call Center Scam Newsletter No. 81
Dear Clients,
In a large number of online investment fraud cases, victims often believe that only major documents or official bank confirmations may have significance for the proceedings.
However, in practice, a much wider range of information and communication may later become important evidence in cases of this nature.
Based on previous experience, screenshots of conversations, emails, phone numbers, Telegram or WhatsApp communication, payment confirmations, bank statements, wallet addresses, transaction hashes (tx hash), login notifications, and even seemingly insignificant messages may all become relevant during the analysis of a case.
In many situations, individual pieces of information that initially appear unimportant later help establish connections between multiple victims, platforms, phone numbers, wallet addresses, or individuals involved in the communication.
Particularly important are communications relating to withdrawal attempts, requests for additional payments, explanations regarding alleged taxes or verification procedures, as well as messages in which representatives of the platform provide promises regarding future payouts.
In some cases, even deleted websites, changed phone numbers, or inactive Telegram accounts may still have evidentiary value if screenshots, links, usernames, or prior communication have been preserved.
It is also important to understand that online fraud investigations often rely on combining a large number of smaller details collected from different victims and different jurisdictions.
For this reason, information that may appear insignificant from the perspective of one individual case can later become important when compared with data obtained in other proceedings.
Based on previous experience, we believe it is particularly important that victims preserve all available documentation and avoid deleting communication, account information, payment records, or transaction-related data, even in situations where they believe certain information may no longer be useful.
In practice, precisely such details often later assist in obtaining a clearer understanding of how a particular platform or organized group operated.
You will be timely informed about all further developments.
Kind regards,
Attorney Zoran Miljaković
