Dear Clients,

Why Different Victims Often Have Nearly Identical Experiences?

Many victims, when we first discuss the circumstances of their case, believe that their situation is unique and that the fraudsters used a specific approach tailored only to them. In practice, however, the opposite is often true.

In investment fraud cases, the method of operation is usually the same — or very similar — across a large number of victims.

The initial contact, the way the opportunity is presented, promises of profit, pressure to make payments quickly, the display of fictitious profits on the platform, and requests for additional payments in order to “unlock” funds or process withdrawals — these are patterns that repeat from case to case.

This repetition is highly significant in legal proceedings.

When the authorities analyze multiple reports containing the same or similar elements, it becomes easier to establish a pattern of conduct, identify connected individuals, and connect different parts of the same organized scheme.

This is particularly important for victims who believe their case is “not strong enough” or that the amount they lost is not significant enough. In these cases, the importance of a case is not measured only by the individual amount involved, but also by its place within the broader structure of the fraud.

Very often, what appears to be an isolated incident becomes an important part of a much larger investigation.

For that reason, it is important to understand that your case is not an isolated event. In many situations, it forms part of a much broader mechanism, and connecting these cases may be one of the key factors in the further course of the proceedings.

As always, we will continue to keep you informed about all relevant developments and next steps.

Kind regards,
