Jubilee Ace/ Jenco/ GTR / 3Key – Lyra Newsletter No. 221
Dear Clients,
In many online investment fraud cases, injured parties later explain that one of the main reasons they continued investing was the balance displayed on the platform itself.
In practice, users are often shown dashboards displaying alleged profits, account growth, daily earnings, successful trades, and increasing portfolio values, creating the impression that substantial funds already exist and are available for withdrawal.
However, it is important to understand that the balance displayed on a platform does not necessarily represent real assets or actual existing funds.
In many fraudulent systems, the numbers shown to users are simply part of the platform interface and may be modified internally without any connection to genuine trading activity or real market transactions.
This is one of the reasons why many injured parties later state that they believed the investment was legitimate — because the platform continuously displayed growing profits and increasing account balances.
In practice, these systems are often designed primarily to create the appearance of profitability, stability, and financial success in order to encourage additional deposits and maintain trust for as long as possible.
Particularly important is the fact that many users only begin questioning the legitimacy of the platform when they attempt to withdraw larger amounts of money.
At that stage, various explanations frequently appear, including alleged taxes, compliance procedures, account verification requirements, transfer activation fees, or supposed technical issues preventing the release of funds.
In some cases, users are even encouraged to deposit additional funds in order to “unlock” or “verify” balances that were previously displayed on the platform as already available.
From the perspective of how these systems operate, it is important to understand that a displayed balance alone should never be viewed as proof that actual funds exist or that profits have genuinely been generated.
In many cases, the displayed numbers primarily serve the purpose of maintaining confidence and encouraging further financial transfers.
This is precisely why many fraudulent platforms continue operating successfully for extended periods of time, despite the fact that the balances shown to users may not correspond to real and accessible assets.
As always, we will continue to monitor all relevant developments and keep you informed in a timely manner.
