3Key and Lyra Newsletter No. 79
Dear Clients,
As you have been informed, we are handling the 3Key Lyra case within the Jubilee Group, along with the Jubilee Ace, Jenco, and GTR cases. Our investigations have revealed significant connections between these cases. Given that the Jubilee Group case started earlier and is currently in an advanced stage of investigation, linking the 3Key Lyra case to it would be highly beneficial.
In this newsletter you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions in the past week.
How will the victims be paid after the trial concludes?
Answer: After the trial concludes and the defendants are convicted or reach a plea agreement, the process of compensating victims begins. Seized assets, such as houses, Bitcoin, cash, and other valuables, are liquidated or converted into funds. Properties like real estate are typically sold, and the proceeds are distributed. Cash held in bank accounts is allocated directly. When it comes to Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, financial experts determine whether to use the value from the time of seizure or the current market value. All funds are then pooled and distributed to the victims, often based on the scale of their individual claims, ensuring fair compensation.
How long does compensation process take?
Answer: The length of the compensation process after a trial depends on the complexity of the case and the assets involved. Factors that influence the timeline include:
Legal appeals: If any defendant appeals the verdict, this can delay the liquidation of assets.
Asset liquidation: Converting assets like real estate or Bitcoin into cash can take time, especially if markets are volatile or the properties are difficult to sell.
Administrative procedures: Courts and financial experts must evaluate the value of assets, determine how to distribute them, and verify victim claims, which can be a lengthy process.
Number of victims: In cases with many victims, it may take longer to ensure all claims are properly reviewed and compensated.
The restitution claims that we have collected and systematized on behalf of our clients should speed this process up. Our law office will follow the process diligently and protect the interests of our clients.
