Cybercrime Southeast Europe

Dear Clients,

We would like to inform you that this week we have filed new criminal charges with the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, Special Department for High-Tech Crime.

In one of the complaints, the victim was contacted by a person posing as a broker and invited to invest money on the Valut Trade platform. This platform allegedly deals with automatic cryptocurrency trading using artificial intelligence (AI) for automated trade processing, promising constant profit.

After the victim installed the AnyDesk application, the fraudsters gained access to their computer and bank accounts. They used this information to transfer money from the victim’s bank account to their digital wallet. Subsequently, the victim received an email from an alleged representative of Blockchain, requesting an additional payment to release his “earned” money.

We urge you to be extra cautious and recommend that you do not open suspicious messages or links received via email or other communication channels. Always double-check the identity of the people you are communicating with and be wary of offers that seem too good to be true. In case of doubt, contact us via https://defendme.global/.

Stay vigilant and protect your information from potential fraud.
